How To Pronounce The "u" in Japanese Words

Just a quick video of one of my professors explaining this. I've had a few people question why I pronounce the "u" at the end of Japanese words. It was my experience that it was just how native speakers pronounce them, you just drop the "u" sound for whatever.
Turns out I'm not exactly right.
